ATLA Is Closed

ATLA has shut down it's doors.

I originally started working in the acting business due to my daughter's interest and it has been a great adventure.

But since last summer my daughter has gone off to college and I want to live on the East Coast with my husband and concentrate on my family life there.

My husband and I definitely deserve that since during my time in LA (9 years) my husband has lived and worked on the East Coast and we did not get to see a lot of each other so now it is our time to enjoy each other and spend as much time as we can together.

In that, it is too hard to manage a business from across the United States.

So in that I need to shut down and move onto my next venture in life that God has for me.

Sometimes God shuts the door on one situation to open a new opportunity for us so I am quite excited to see what God has in store for me.

Over the last 9 years I have seen the joy on the kid's faces as they have gotten their grading sheets; building the confidence in their work and enjoying making the friends that they would see in their classes.  Watching my students grow is one of the things I cherish most.

You have to understand a lot of the kids who walk through my doors are not the average kid at school; they are not the cheerleader nor the football player and even some have even been bullied.

They are the "ARTIST", and they knew they could come to ATLA to be among their peers that also loved the same art as themselves, and feel at home.  The standard school system does not offer a lot of training programs for our actor kids so coming to ATLA was very important to them; and to me.

I believe that I have helped many learn not just about acting but about life.

Many of my students will not pursue acting; they will be here 1 or 2 years or maybe only a month; but I felt if they could come to a studio where we loved them for who they are that it could help build their character and confidence.  Bringing them learning experiences that could be with them a lifetime.

So to the future doctors, nurses, screen writers, accountants, actors, restaurant owners, bus boys, producers, directors, hotel staff, airline pilots, airline hosts, Walmart greeters, house cleaners etc., I say good bye and know that you have touched my heart forever. And in some way I hope that I have touched yours.

I will truly miss the kids, teens and parents who have entered my doors and I will remember you all forever, for everyone of you have touched my life and I cherish that.

If you are currently signed up for any other class at ATLA, I am working with other studio for them to take over the classes; so if you paid already for a class your payment will either go toward that transferred class or I will be refunding and you will register and pay again through that studio's system.

If we don't transfer a class over to the new studio; and you paid already you will be refunded; I am just waiting for my bank transfer of funds from my regular bank account to get back into my merchant account which they tell met won't be until Feb 23rd., there was a delay due to the holiday on Monday.

So please bear with me as I wait for that to happen.

I will send you an email saying when I have refunded you if appropriate to any classes; and it should be this coming week.

If for some reason you have a credit on your account from a past class credit you will be refunded also.

Since you are a member and paid a membership fee; I am also refunding your membership; pro-rated from when you registered.

Please keep in mind I have a lot on my plate in closing down; so please don't bombard me with emails for I won't be able to answer them all.

But if you have any concerns or issues please send me an email and I will reach out to you as soon as I can; just keep in mind the next few weeks will be very busy for me.

I am currently coordinating all my training programs with the another studio, where they also have great training programs for youth and teens.  And I am hoping that they can incorporate some of my training programs into theirs.

When the time is right everyone will get an email on who that new studio is and all the procedures going forward.

The new Studio is looking forward to connecting with you, and some of you may already know of them so a win win for everyone!

Remember YOU are important to me and I appreciate you all.

It has been a pleasure knowing you ALL.

Have a blessed day.

LIVE!  LOVE!  ACT!
